First Lady, Mrs Sandra Granger, this afternoon, received a courtesy call from Secretary of the Guyana Youth Development Association (GUYDA), Ms Beryl James, at her State House office.
Ms James, in an invited comment, said that the organisation had made a donation to STEM Guyana in collaboration with the First Lady towards Team Guyana’s preparation for the First Global Robotics Olympics held last month in Dubai.
At the end of the competition, Guyana placed 39th out of the 195 participating countries.
The duo discussed STEM Guyana’s outstanding performance in the competition and areas for further collaboration.
The First Lady was also presented with a copy of GUYDA’s 2019 Annual Ball publication.
GUYDA is a non-profit organisation which promotes training opportunities for Guyanese youths, both locally and in the United States of America.
