─“We are a government for all our people.” – Min. Ally
Corriverton’s Muslims’ community was graced by a visit from Minister of Social Protection, the Hon. Amna Ally on Friday.
Minister Ally told those gathered that for communities to contribute to the progress and development of the nation, discussions must be held to address issues and find solutions.
She reminded that incoming into office, His Excellency President David Granger had the foresight to create a ministry of social cohesion so that all Guyanese could play their part in nation-building
“Our presidential candidate [H.E. David Granger] is an honest man, a man with integrity, and a man with the vision for our country,” she said.
Min. Ally reminded of the development that was realised in Corriverton under the Coalition government.
Paved roads, new street lights, and improved drainage and irrigation for the farmers in the area are all enhancements the community have seen under the Granger-led administration she noted.
“We have been improving communities throughout Guyana. Under [President] David Granger, we do not have red or black villages. We are a government for all of our people. We want all of our communities to develop.”
The Social Protection Minister assured that Corriverton and other communities across the country will see even more improvements under the Coalition.
